Our goal is to turn the fear, helplessness & grief caused by this disease into a powerful force of hope & healing. Founded upon personal tragedy, it is our vision to conquer alcohol and drug dependence by turning the fear, grief and helplessness caused from this disease into awareness, compassion, and support while promoting awareness for the dangers of experimenting with alcohol and drugs. The foundation prides itself on using 93% of its fundraising amount for direct use in its programs and its strong volunteer program. It is the mission of the Brent Shapiro Foundation for Drug Awareness to become a national leader in the fight against drug and alcohol dependence with a focus on prevention.
